This handmade serigraph features a cheery, energetic and lush garden scene with an expressive, active, abstract quality. The piece centers on profusion of rose bushes rendered in strokes of bright red, pink, and yellow. The eye is drawn into cool shade of the tree canopy above, which features bright, dappled strokes that depict shafts of light penetrating the shade. A distant classical figure statue is subtly stands amidst the greenery, offering a moment of mystery and calm within the chaotic bloom. The painting is framed by broad, gestural marks of deep blue and streaks of diluted pigment that spill over the edges, particularly on the right where vertical green and blue drips create a striking contrast against the white paper ground. The intense use of color and varied brushwork gives the overall impression of a garden viewed through an energetic, glistening rain, or emotional haze.
 
This screen print on paper is ready to hang in a basic black frame and classic white matte. Glass protects the art.
