In this sculptural masterpiece, Heiko Weiner transforms the dense, organic character of burl wood into a radial sunburst with extraordinary delicacy. The piece features a series of undulating, razor-thin flutes that spiral outward from a central void, creating a kinetic illusion of constant motion. By juxtaposing the wild, unpredictable "eyes" of the natural wood grain against the rigid, mathematical symmetry of the hand-carved ridges, Weiner captures a perfect tension between nature’s chaos and human discipline.
