An energetic, expressionist work that captures the spiritual and communal energy of a traditional Jewish Wedding ceremony. Set against a swirling, atmospheric backdrop of warm ochres and ambers, the scene centers on a bride in a glowing white gown and a groom surrounded by a crowd of figures in traditional black suits and hats under a red chuppah (wedding canopy). The composition is framed by Klezmer musicians including a violinist on the left and a bassist on the right, whose energetic forms seem to merge with the rhythmic, gestural line work of the environment. Raymond uses a rich, earthy palette and soft, blurred outlines to evoke a sense of timelessness and joy, making the entire scene feel less like like a fleeting dream, a melodic memory of a sacred celebration.
This piece is ready to hang in a a vintage wood frame, and cream matte. "Glare Proof" glass protects the art.
