Jeune Fille Pensive (Pensive Girl) - Albert Bertalan

A Post Impressionistic interior scene similar to the works of Matisse, painted by Albert Bertalan (1899 - 1957, Hungarian).  The picture, measuring 24" x 36", features a colorful home interior rendered with vibrant pasterns that describe furniture, textiles, an décor.  The scene shows the home of an artist with a painting of a village on an easel, a pallet on the wall, and gesture drawings on the table.  A girl sits at the center, gazing at a drawing, holding her head in her hand, deep in thought. 
The piece is attractively framed and ready to hang in a simple, dark colored wood frame with the outer measurments: 32 x 41 inches.  It is signed in the lower left corner.
