Blue, Ochre, Black and Cream Abstract - Tom Reno
60" x 48" | Acrylic on Canvas
In this monumental canvas explores a compelling dialogue between terrestrial weight and celestial expanse. The composition is defined by a bold tripartite arrangement: a grounded field of earthy ochre is bisected by a luminous vertical sweep of white, while a deep, textured cerulean dominates the upper register. Reno’s signature process of gestural, translucent layering creates a rich history of mark-making, allowing glimpses of under layers to emerge like memories through a weathered landscape. The interaction of organic shapes and architectural blocks of color creates a sense of rhythmic balance, inviting the viewer into the artist's spiritual mind space. Both visceral and contemplative, this work serves as a commanding exploration of light, space, and spiritual movement.
