Starting Saturday, May 14th through Saturday, May 29th, Austin Galleries in conjunction with Russell Tether Fine Art Associates and other Texas fine art dealers will be hosting an exhibition celebrating 50 years of artwork from select University of Texas professors. This exhibition and sale will include important works by Michael Frary, Everett Spruce, William Lester, MacDonald Smith, and many other notable Texas artists who are collected by museums and patrons alike. Many of these works have exhibited in museums, and are part of the artists’ estates. These UT legends are responsible for not only creating beautiful works of art themselves, but for passing on their skills and influencing the next generation of important Texas artists. This is a rare opportunity for the public to view and purchase museum quality works by this talented group of artists that call Texas home.
